There is a bird god that appears in Japanese, Hindu, Thai and Chinese mythology: Garuda, which corresponds to the philosophy of "All things are born, everything is destroyed" of all religions.
Garuda in Hinduism, is the king of birds, possesses undying power and has become a symbol of courage and strength, a deity and the mount of Vishnu (the Protector).
Garuda in Buddhism, is accepted to become one of the eight Heavenly Dragons, eight forms of the Buddha's guardian deities, and is a symbol of light, courage and undying will.
Appears a lot in the architecture of temples and especially the ancient Champa culture in Vietnam. The art of Champa sculpture flourished and reached the pinnacle of sophistication with stone Garuda statues currently on display in museums, or maybe even the bronze Buddha statues just a few millimeters tall (Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Center ) must use a magnifying glass to see. That shows the strong spiritual life and sophisticated sculptural art of the Cham people in Vietnam in particular and the region in general.
