The Four Legend Animals is a collection of paintings introducing sacred beasts in Vietnamese historical culture, focusing on four typical dynasties: Ly, Tran, Hau Le, and Nguyen. Starting from the formation of independent Vietnamese art - Ly Dynasty, from political communication, cultural acculturation and conscious exchange with Champa art, to the last feudal dynasty - Nguyen Dynasty; Sacred beasts began to appear, aesthetically perfected, visible in architecture and sculpture, and became an integral existence in the life, religion and beliefs of Vietnamese people.
Magnetism represents tolerance, discreet simplicity and closeness to people thanks to the belief in ancestor worship, acceptance of Buddhism and Confucianism.
In addition to the four sacred animals including Long, Lan, Quy, and Phung, in Vietnamese religious culture, there are also many other sacred animals, including animals close to humans, such as dogs, horses, and cats. , buffalo, elephant,... This will be an opportunity for people to know more about the stories, legends, and ancient concepts that form the beliefs of the Vietnamese people and are still preserved to this day.
History is a flow including official history (official stories), myth (mysterious spiritual stories) and fiction (stories passed down among the people). Each dynasty will flow a stream and through each spirit beast image, perhaps you will see the silhouettes of the ruling dynasties; As well as through each painting, perhaps each person receives something interesting from their ancestors.
