The Snow Phoenix is one of the nine children of the phoenix, symbolizing purity, together with the Fire Phoenix, it forms two extremes of yin and yang (fire phoenix yang, snow phoenix yin).
Phung birds appear a lot in the architecture and decoration of the Nguyen Dynasty. The motifs in Tuyet Phung are inspired by the art of ceramic mosaic and wood carving of this dynasty, along with the layers and markings of time and context are the elements that make up the artwork.
